British soulful singer-songwriter James TW has released the video for his track ‘Sanctuary’.

James headed to Malibu to film the summery visuals, which premiered on Billboard earlier this week. The video sees James and his love take a ‘sick day’ from work, and spending an ideal day together on the beach.

Of the track, James TW told Billboard: “’Sanctuary’ was written about when we all get too caught up in everyday life, whether it’s school or work, and forget about the things that matter the most.  It’s about making time with the person you love to step away from the busy world.” 

The video is playful and romantic, and perfectly fits the tone of the song. ‘Sanctuary’ is taken from James’ debut EP First Impressions, which was released earlier this year.

2016 has been a stellar year for the singer so far. Back in February, he released ‘When You Love Someone’, which charted on the Spotify US & Global Viral Top 50 Charts. It has amassed over 10 million streams, with James currently attracting 2.6 million monthly listeners worldwide. He has been #1 Trending on Shazam twice and has garnered support from numerous outlets including Radio 1.

James is also the sole support act on Shawn Mendes’ sold-out world tour. Having already performed across Europe, he is currently supporting Shawn in North America. In terms of solo shows, James headlined London’s O2 Academy Islington in May. Following the release of the ‘Sanctuary’ video, James also announced another headline gig.
